April 5th - Home Community at the Costello's

We're back to Home Community at the Costello's this week! It's the first week of the month, so get ready to welcome some new folks to our group. So far 5 people have told us they're coming, so we'll be adding another person onto childcare (and from now on if they stay). Danielle and Becka will be taking care of childcare this week. We're also adding a 3 person onto snacks for the first Sunday of the month, so Haylee, Ivan, and Moriah will be on snacks this week!

I'll have new printed sheets ready at group this week, with the new sign ups for the coming months and updated contact info for everyone.

For Easter we're planning on having an afternoon bbq...just waiting on the final details...TBA!

Thanks you guys for all participating in serving at the PRM together! Everyone rocked it in the dinning area, and then Becka and Danny opened us up with some top 10 American Idol like music (that means "LOVED IT" to me). Laura followed with a great poem. Clayton continued with a story he wrote depicting the prodical son, and Kyle finished up our time with some good news about Easter! It was a great night and I'm looking forward to future times serving like that together!

Portland Rescue Mission and Next Week's Group

I just wanted to remind everyone to please get in touch with Kyle if you want to be a part of the chapel service for PRM on March 29th. Even if you don't know what you'd want to do, I'm sure we can collaberate together on it! If you'd rather help the kitchen cleanup the dining area, that is totally cool too! We'll talk more about it next Sunday and give you the exact time to be there. I'm sure we can talk about carpooling together too. Also remember that Danielle and Brian volunteered to watch the kiddos at their house that night. I'll print out some new contact info sheets for next week (with their home address) in case you've lost yours.

Also, thanks to Danielle and Brian for our snacks last night and childcare from Tim (and Kim!!!!!)

Next Week's group, March 22nd, will be at the COX's and Kim will be childcare, while Laura will be sweet and Tim will be savory.

Home Community & Portland Rescue Mission UNITE!

We've been trying to secure a date for our home community to go and serve at the Portland Rescue Mission, and we now have one! The only thing is its coming up quick! Only 2 1/2 weeks away on Sunday, March 29th, approximately during our regular group time. Our home community will be responsible for serving dinner that night (usually to a few hundred people) and then conducting the chapel service time afterwards. We'll talk more about it this Sunday night at group so try to be there this week for all the details and to collaberate on ideas! This will be an awesome time to get to serve God together and love on these folks!!!

Weekend Events

This week our sign ups are Kim for Sweet, Clayton for Savory, and Kyle for Childcare. We're meeting at the Cox house this month and again, it was awesome having almost everyone there last weekend! So cozy we are. :)

Emily and I went to the pre-womens forum meeting last night to go over the details of this coming Saturday morning, and it sounds like its going to be an interesting, well presented topic. I'm really just excited to spend some good time together with the women in our group and grow a little closer to God and eachother. Since most of you have said you were coming, please let me know if you WILL NOT be there, so we're not saving you a seat at the table. Thank you!
